Descendants of Cyrus Orcutt
Submitted by Penny Orcutt-Hill, 2001.
Cyrus Orcutt was a blacksmith serving the
Fredonia-Dunkirk area. His son William was our great great
grandfather. He was a Sgt in the Civil War. Wm and Helen Sprague
Orcutt had twins......Fred and Flora Belle ORcutt. Our great
grandfather was Fred...and Lucille Balls grandmother was Flora.
They were put in the Childrens Home in Randolph NY after Wm died
with their brother and sisters Henry, Ned and Carrie. They ran
away one night and never went back. The Hunt Family from
Jamestown helped them and Floras daughter Desiree Hunt was the
mother of Lucille. My dad Bill or Clarence W. Orcutt grew up with
Lucille. She spent a lot of time at my great uncle Henry Orcutts
home in Charlotte Center and at my grandfather Charles Orcutts in
So Dayton. Little Lucie now a Luckinbill from CA, my cousin Dale
Runge from Cassadagua now in LA and my brother Tom Orcutt and I
have worked hard on the info. I hope putting it up will help
others in their research for family. And maybe help us find Cyrus
Orcutts parents.
