Donald Ensworth Radspinner, 81, of 109 Greenhurst Mobile Village,
formerly of Frewsburg, died at 10:45 p.m.
Monday (Sept. 24, 2001) in WCA Hospital. An area
resident most of his life, he was born Oct. 26, 1919, in Warren, the son of
Leon and Doris Ensworth Radspinner. He was a
veteran of the 14th Armored Division of the U.S. Army, serving during World
War II from Nov. 23, 1942, to Oct. 26,
1943. Burial will be in the Maple Grove
Cemetery, Frewsburg.
RAISLEY Clifford L.
8/24/2001 -
Clifford L. Raisley, 79, of 21 Mattison St., Frewsburg, died at 2:30 a.m. Friday (Aug. 24, 2001) in
his home. He
was born May 7, 1922, in Butler Township, Pa.,
the son of William E. and Bertha Shannon Raisley. A veteran of World War II,
he served in the U.S. Army IV Armored Corps,
participating in the Normandy landing at Utah Beach. He was a driver for Gen.
Patton during the liberation of Paris and
continued his service through the entry and collapse of Germany.

9/25/2006 - Hilary B. Rambacher, 85, of 3924
Nesmith Ave., Bemus Point, formerly of Munroe Falls, Ohio, and Akron, Ohio,
died
at 10:45
a.m. on Saturday (September 23, 2006) in WCA Hospital. Bemus Point resident
since 1974, he was born January 14,
1921, in Akron, Ohio, the son of John I. and
Blanche Semonin Rambacher.He was a 1939 graduate of St. Mary’s Academy,
Akron, Ohio and served in the U.S. Army during
World War II from June 21, 1943, until his discharge on February 5, 1946.
During his tours in New Guinea and Southern
Philippines he earned the Bronze Star. Burial will be in the Bemus Point

10/12/2003 - KENNEDY - Donald E. Rarick, 80, of
4226 Route 62, died at 2:50 a.m. Saturday (Oct. 11, 2003) in WCA Hospital.
An area resident most of his life, he was born
Sept. 3, 1923, in Minnesota, the son of Ray and Mary Yeisly Rarick. He was a
graduate of Mifflinburg High School,
Mifflinburg, Pa., and had served in the U.S. Army during World War II in the
European

RATHBURN Lawrence W.
1/15/2003 - MAYVILLE - Lawrence W. Rathburn, 88,
of 13 Barton St., died Sunday (Jan. 12, 2003) in his home. He was born
Sept. 13, 1914, in Beaver Dam, Pa., the son of
Thomas and Eva Graves Rathburn. He was a veteran of World War II, serving
in the U.S. Army from April 1942 to August 1945,
receiving the Good Conduct Medal on May 19, 1945. Burial Mayville Cemetery

Frank A. ‘‘Chico’’ Raymond, 77, formerly of 224 W. Everett St., died at
5:20 a.m. Sunday (Feb. 10, 2002) in the
Heritage Park Health Care Center. A lifelong
area resident, he was born Sept. 18, 1924, in Falconer, the son of Vincent and
Grace Raimondo Raymond. He attended Falconer
schools and Jamestown Business College. He served in the U.S. Army
during World War II, stationed in the Pacific
Theatre. Burial will be in Soldiers’ Circle in Mount Olivet Cemetery.
REARICK Robert F.
1/7/2006 - Robert ''Bob'' F. Rearick, 88, of
Burton Ave., Ripley, died Thursday (Jan. 5, 2006) at his residence. He was born
March 12, 1917, in Munhall, Pa., the son of the
late Preston and Myrtle Poole Rearick.
He was a veteran of World War II,
having served with the U.S. Navy in 1943.
Interment will be held privately in the Quincy Cemetery.
REIBEL John A.
1/9/2004 - John A. Reibel Sr., 91, of 8B
Springview Drive, Westfield, formerly of Mayville and New Port Richey, Fla.,
died
Wednesday (Jan. 7, 2004) in his home. He was
born May 25, 1912, in Buffalo, the son of John A. and Alice Duncan Reibel.He
was a veteran of the U.S. Army during World War
II, serving from 1940 to 1945 as a master sergeant. Mayville Cemetery
REITLER Richard D.
11/14/2007 -
Richard D. Reitler, 83, a retired U. S. Air Force Colonel who served in
World War II, Korea and Vietnam, died
Sunday (Nov. 11, 2007) in Buffalo General
Hospital. He was a resident of Dewittville, N.Y. in Chautauqua County. Mr.
Reitler
decided to join the Army Air Corps in 1942,
while a freshman at Penn State University. Commissioned at age 19, he was sent
to Europe in 1944 during World War II and was
stationed in France when Paris was liberated. The airplane he was piloting
was shot down during a mission over Holland
later that year, and he was able to make his way to England with the
assistance of members of the Dutch underground.
Mr. Reitler flew 65 missions in B-26 aircraft during the war. In 1966, as a
lieutenant colonel, he received specialized
training in the Philippines. He served in Vietnam as wing
navigator/intelligence

RENKER George F.
11/14/2002 - CLYMER - George F. Renker Sr., 79,
of 490 Mohawk St., died at 11:08 a.m.Wednesday (Nov. 13, 2002) at his
home. He
was born Dec. 22, 1922, in Jeannette, Pa., the son of George W. and Adelia
Durschlag Renker. He was a 1941
graduate of Jeannette High School and served in
the U. S. Army, in the 13th Airdrome Squadron from March 6, 1943, to Jan. 5,
1946,
and served in the Philippine Islands in the South Pacific. A Burial will be in
Mina Cemetery.
RENZI Frank D.
6/13/2003 - FALCONER - Frank D. Renzi, 80, of 18
W. Elmwood Ave., died at 11:05 p.m. Wednesday (June 11, 2003) in his
home. An area resident most of his life, he was
born Jan. 21, 1923, in Erie, the son of Valentineo and Rose Passanise Renzi.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II
from 1943-45 in the European Theatre and was taken prisoner of war.
RESSLER Richard C.
11/6/2006 - MAYVILLE — Richard C. Ressler, 86,
died on Sunday (Nov. 5, 2006) in the Waters of Westfield. He was formerly
of 64 East Chautauqua St., Mayville. He was born
the son of Joseph and Pearl Stebbins Ressler on Feb. 27, 1920 in Knoxville,
Tenn. In 1941, he joined the U.S. Army as
an airplane engine mechanic until 1945.
Burial will be in St. James Cemetery in
Westfield, NY.
REXFORD Phillip R.
Phillip R. Rexford, 70, of 5475 Broadway Road,
died today (March 20, 1998) in Saint Vincent Health Center, Erie. He was born
July 1, 1927, in Bemus Point, the son of Russell
and Blanche Brown Rexford. A 1945 graduate of Bemus Point Central School,
he was a veteran of World War II serving in the
U.S. Army. Burial will be in Bemus Point Cemetery
REYNOLDS Clayton A.
9/1/2001 - Clayton A. Reynolds, 78, of 1903
South Maple St., Ashville, died at 7:20 a.m. Saturday (Sept. 1, 2001) in WCA
Hospital. An Ashville area resident most of his
life, he was born July 17, 1923, in Kane, a son of the late Ben and Anna Fox
Reynolds. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army,
serving during World War II in Central Europe and Rhineland. He was a
technician fifth grade for the125th
anti-aircraft artillery gun battalion. He served in the U.S. Army from March
26, 1943, to
March 30, 1946, earning the Good Conduct Medal,
the World War II Victory Medal, the American Campaign Medal and the
European African Middle Eastern Campaign Medal.

REYNOLDS William R.
1/26/2003 - William Riggs Reynolds Jr., 76, of
18 Waldemere Way, Lakewood, died at 7:45 a.m. (Friday, Jan. 24, 2003) in WCA
Hospital. A native of Jamestown, he was born
Sept. 8, 1926, the son of the late William Riggs and Jeannette Fenton Bailey
Reynolds Sr. , he served in Germany and Russia
for the U.S. State Department. He was a veteran, serving in the U.S. Navy
from Sept. 12, 1944, until his discharge July
10, 1946, as pharmacist's mate 3rd class Burial Lake View Cemetery
